When the political smoke clears, there is the economy!

This was a great night for Obama as he spoke on this evenings Forum on social issues comparing his platforms to that of McCain. Hammering away on the issues is smart politics opposed to taking part in games of distraction.

Discussing the importance of encouraging our youth to become active in service, the strength of this campaign includes the knowledge and understanding that the future is in our youth. The future of our status as a world leader depends on our ability to master technology and increase opportunities for quality education. Obama delivers this message daily as he speaks.

Each day Obama continues to fight to keep the focus on issues of concern to Americans, while the opposition delivers smoke screens using sexism along with inaccurate reports on Obama’s position on policy and issues.

It’s unfortunate the opponents refuse to look at the statistics of drop outs in the inner city school systems, as well as the high levels of crime which brings hopelessness to people. All of the prosperity and country first seems like smoke when people are living below the poverty level, and for the first time in years there is a new homeless on the scene”white collar,”

People once able to live the American Dream, today they exist daily with concern on all fronts, jobs, education, social security, food cost, gas prices, energy, and global warming of the planet.

These are not racial issues, they are people issues. Americans of all races and genders share a bond of fear for the future of themselves, their children, and fellow Americans.  They see no prosperity when a home is foreclosed or a child has to be told tuition is too high for college or when, groceries and gas prices are out of reach in family budgets.

Dreams are not what people want, just cold hard facts of how the candidate will help the country recover. Important word “recover” from our country own economic disaster effecting millions of Americans.

The key is to keep the eye on the prize, (CHANGE)and to mobilize communities in order to deliver in November. African American voters are extremely important in this campaign, its important to turn out new first time voters. The stakes are too high.

In addition unity of all races and genders are important, because together we win, and separate we fail. Division is our enemy, while common cause is empowerment. People see poverty as it relates to a poor economy. That is the enemy, not race, gender, age or any potential smoke screen such as “lip stick on a pig.”
